Most of us would have to admit that God has blessed us abundantly, and yet certainly in today’s world there are vast numbers of people in need.
Requests for support abound, so why is this request any different? There are many places where it is difficult to see what impact your donation has had on those in need. You might wonder, “Where did my donation go?” or “What was it used for?”
We are committed to answering those questions through the following process:
- GOW finds people committed to the spread of the Word in fulfillment of Matthew 25. We find individuals who are actively pursuing its delivery to act as sponsors in helping those in need.
- Sponsors bring a focus to their small section of the world.
- Sponsors provide a direct connection between GOW and the people involved to see and feel their needs.
- GOW provides support where the results can be seen in tangible change.
Within this site, you are able to learn about the people we have identified and get a brief snapshot into their world.
We will share with you what has been accomplished to date, and if you see a desire to participate, we will share with you their needs and provide an opportunity to choose where you wish to contribute. Finally, we will provide a way for you to stay in touch, to see the results of your donation.
“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:6
“Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:10 & 11

Guthrie Orphans & Widows is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity. All contributions designated for specific grants will be applied to those grants. If we receive more contributions for a given grant than can be wisely applied to that grant, we will use those funds to meet a similar pressing need. Unless otherwise stated, we assess 10 percent of the donation to be used for administration.
